I do the work I do because I believe in making the most of the people and organisations we’ve got and that ordinary people are capable of extraordinary things if led well (though changes may need to be made). I also believe enlightened leadership helps us all in times of volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity.
I believe enterprise should be profitable and that we need to maintain an appropriate balance between free market economy and social justice, after the example of Adam Smith (as properly understood).
